We would define a learning platform as learning that takes place in an authentically engaging environment that works towards equipping students with twenty first century skills. Students are connected to community where collaboration, goal setting, and problem solving are apparent. Learning takes place in a risk free environment where they learn to think critically, be creative, speak for themselves, and discover. In a learning platform, students have ownership of and share their learning with others as well as have choice in how they present their learning. Learning experiences are created to allow students to connect to a world outside of the classroom walls through technological resources.
